Life has been flying by! My little bug, who I barely brought home 7 short months ago, now has teeth and can crawl/lunge/scoot around! Those baby books do NOT prepare new moms for that one dreaded thing that apparently every child does very, very quickly--grow up! Ugh, anyway, I wake up every morning and stare in awe at my little creature who never fails to wake up almost every single day SINGING!!! Amazing. Truly amazing....and totally amusing! ;)
Work--Well, I got a promotion to Domestic Engineer in April, and it is the biggest blessing EVER! I miss having a paycheck and seeing all of my work friends everyday, but surprisingly, I'm not bored. There's a freedom that I haven't experienced since being in college! Plus, I don't think that I had realized how super lame my actual job was until it was no longer my job.
These days, I tap in to my inner iron chef almost every night, I'm the proud owner of zoo AND Sea World passes, I scour the internet daily looking for travel deals so that Team Allen can visit with family as much as (financially) possible and I spend my "me time" on random projects instead of quick shopping fixes after work! Hahaha! Ok, I secretly miss the latter, but that's why God created internet shopping!! Hey, don't judge me. I may be a recovering shopaholic, but what's one pair of new jeans every now and then??!!
